The nature of emptiness

In our limited, conditioned mind, we understand emptiness as “something that does not contain anything”. This conception creates a relationship to something that is unknown, threatening and difficult to access.

In reality, emptiness is not a concept or a state. It is the permanent existence of our own nature. This nature contains all that exists.

Emptiness is not really unknown to the infinite part of us, simply because we are the emptiness. Although we may not perceive or relate to this part of us, emptiness is at the very core of creation, the core of our existence and the very core of our stillness and change.

Emptiness is a paradox. Empty contains all potentiality and is absent of any intention. In emptiness, you are not and you are all. You create and you are your own creation.

Emptiness contains the feminine and the masculine, as well as the parenting abilities for all that exists.

Emptiness is the magnetic, nourishing substance of the mystic. The mystic, or the one who understand reality without the mind, embraces emptiness as the daily breath, and as the sustainer of self-reaffirming perception.

Emptiness permeates all, and is all. It is contained in the chatty mind and in the tranquil mind. It is our basic origin and the outbreath of our endings.

4 Steps to De-mystify Emptiness

  1. Accept that your concept of emptiness is not it

As long as you are holding to a mental concept, and as long as the mind is creating a hologram of you, you will not be able to relate to the true nature of emptiness. Your mind’s conceptions will present you with threats of the “unknown” and a sense of impotency or powerlessness.

2.- Acknowledge that you have always known emptiness

Emptiness is not foreign to you. You were constructed by the dynamics of emptiness and are alive because of the presence of emptiness. Your core is available to nothingness, to stillness and to the potentialities of emptiness.

3.- Accept the paradox of the existence of emptiness

You cannot communicate emptiness in words. However, you can embody it and transmit it to others through the mystic self. When I say transmit, it is more like a sharp presence that allows others to remember their own emptiness.

4.- Relax and allow emptiness to guide you

Emptiness and the mystic mind have a great partnership, a great cooperation. Trusting the non-mind in its ability to embody, relate and manifest emptiness is the greatest act of compassion towards life. It is a breakthrough of the ego towards the vastness of stillness.

5.- Emptiness is found in meditation and in the absence of chatting personas

Meditation is the courageous act of reposing in emptiness. Your personas have shown themselves to be unreal, and all the chatting, negotiations, personal interests, and cover-ups have being recognized and abandoned. Silence, or the absence of voices of our personas, facilitates the entry of emptiness into the cells of the physical body.

Meditation, or the willingness to sit to know emptiness, is the heart of nature, the nourishment of the cosmic mother and the all-pervasive presence of all.

Emptiness is natural to all of us. It is our mind that creates concepts which separate us from the very core of what we are.
