Love, Compasion and Patience
Since Love is not a feeling but the very essence of our existence, we are unable to make it a practice; as in “I need to love everybody”. As Love is realized we are able to embody it and create its multiple expressions through our movements in an effortless way.
Love in Action: is compassion. With compassion we can be moved by the totality of Love; in compassion the heart melts in front of pain, ignorance and forgetfulness.
Love is you and compassion is the impulse of love to take care of all that needs support and help. It doesn’t discriminate where the help needs to be applied. It simply dances and satisfies the impulse of the heart.
Compassion is not always pleasant, since the heart shakes in the fullness of Love and in the witnessing of pain. At the same time, as Love moves and animates all your actions, you develop a deep patience, a deep acceptance that all is okay and that all is in order.
Love is quiet and still while compassion is active and patience is wise. All these 3 qualities bring clarity to the mind, purity to the heart as well as sincere actions. The powerful combinations of these 3 attributes create an energetic unit of stillness, enthusiasm and detachment.
Practicing what you already are is the true medicine of the heart. It is a medicine that is never against anything, it involves, welcome and comforts all parts of you.
Practicing this natural attitude of the heart, destroys all illness, duality, pain, karma and ego. Trust that all is being taken care of by practicing this heart medicine. All is contained in the essence of Love and in the pungent dynamics of the divine.
Allowing Love to be, practicing compassion and having the patience to let things take their natural course is the energy of enlightenment, the energy of the sun and the health and unity of the heart.
Realize that you whole body is formed of millions of cells, and that each one has a mind, like a person with specific experiences. By relating to you this way you can apply compassion to these loving children. You don’t need to be a Samaritan at all times. You just need to start with your own body. This is the first step of enlightenment, to enlighten the vessel you are dwelling in, with compassion and patience. Only then Love reveals itself.
