To avoid puffy and swollen eyes, reduce your intake of salt, MSG, aspartame, coffee, alcoholic beverages, as well as TV, computer and reading time.
If your eyes are puffy:
1. With your ring fingers, make small circular movements clockwise, with minimum pressure, from the outside corner of the eye to the inner corner. Repeat 11 times. This will act as a lymphatic massage.
2. Apply egg white and let dry for 11 to 15 minutes. If you are vegan, two slices of a raw potato soaked in cold rose water. Apply, rinse and dry as above. All three ingredients are gently astringent.
3. Rest the eyes with sleep and rose water over the eyes.
4. Strengthen your kidneys with ayurvedic herbs such as Banyan Botanical’s Kidney Support.
